When I bought this figure, it was because there are no good Black Jack figures on market. They were okay, but out of print, and none brand new from a reliable source. When I found this, I near died. I actually found it via Google image search while looking for images for a project I was working on.

It looked pretty nice at first, then I started flipping through all of the images, saw what came with it, got so hyped up that the price only scared me for three days before I gave in. You CAN'T just look at a figure constantly for that many days in a row and NOT buy it. It's just not fair.

I had been counting down the days until finally this came to my door. I nearly cried. I ran off to the mall, didn't care that I was waiting on contacts or anything, I HAD TO PLAY WITH THIS. The box isn't one of those clear plastic 'see what you got here' boxes. It's beautiful, black, nice holographic printing on it of a display of Black Jack's home abode; gorgeous. That was exciting enough to begin with. The fight to get the lid off safely without tearing things gets me every time, but I let it pass, because the second I pulled the cushioning away, saw the detail of all of those protruding veins in the man's hands, the tiny pieces of medical equipment in his briefcase, my goodness... that alone...

Then I pulled away the last piece of cushioning and saw him. No one will ever come between me and THIS. He is the absolute prize of my collection, and always will be.

I love you Black Jack, and your ridiculous amount of black layers, and the fact that even though you are richer than most, you refuse to get plastic surgery in memory of the one parentless child that gave up his skin for you in order to keep you alive. I love you for the morals that you bring to your watchers, and your sense of revenge on those whom do you wrong. You are a fantastic person and figure, and will never gather dust as long as I have something to say about it.
